MISSOULA — Sunny and 70s again today across the northern Rockies. We may see smoky and hazy skies return to the forecast as well with high pressure bringing some of the smoke from California back to western Montana.
Sunny, warm, dry and hazy conditions are expected through Thursday with temperatures remaining in the 70s.
Friday will be slightly cooler as a weather system finally begins to break down the high pressure ridge. Temperatures will be mostly in the 60s to low 70s Friday.
The system moving in this weekend will be nothing special or out of the ordinary for October. However, with the recent warm and dry stretch, 50s and 60s along with mountain snow and valley rain will be a welcome sight! Right now, showers look to be most widespread Saturday afternoon and evening with a few lingering showers possible Sunday into Monday.
