Response to Trooper Palmer shooting means alot to MHP

Posted

MISSOULA – Fundraising efforts for Trooper Wade Palmer are ongoing as he remains at University Hospital in Salt Lake City in critical condition.

Several GoFundMe accounts have been started to help raise money for Palmer’s family as well as fundraising events like Wednesdays BBQ in Helena.

There is even a benefit t-shirt that has all its proceeds go back to the Palmer family.

The shirt has done so well it has already sold out once but plans are in motion to have more available soon.

MHP’s website has a full list of reputable fundraising efforts that you can give to.

The Patrol says that they are thankful for all of the monetary support and also support from the community and how important it has been to them.

“The response that the community has shown here locally and across the country has been so important to us,” MHP trooper TJ Templeton said.

“We have all struggled to comprehend everything that has gone on but to see people rise up and show their support has been tremendous.”

“It means a lot to see the stickers and decals that people are putting on and as silly as it seems to take a selfie with a green shirt it means a lot,” Trooper Templeton concluded.

He’s referring to a social media campaign that asks people to wear green in support of Trooper Palmer.

So here’s how it works — share a photo of yourself on Twitter wearing green and use #BacktheBlueWeartheGreen or #WearGreenforWade.

MHP also asks that you say where you are from when you post.
